Fire safety laboratory

Fire safety tests let us detect and evaluate product reactions to fire and to classify their materials and components according to the requirements of the EN 45545-2 standard. We cooperate in research and development of new more fire-resistant materials for railways and perform a comprehensive  assessment of the material properties and their suitability for use in transportation technology.

Laboratory facilities: 

  1. Optical smoke density test chamber according to ISO 5659-2 with radiator output up to 70 kW / m2
  2. Cone calorimeter for radiant heat measurement based on weight loss and oxygen consumption according to ISO 5660-1 with radiator output up to 100kW / m2
  3. Flame propagation test equipment according to ISO 5658-2 (CFE critical heat flux at extinguishment)

We are certified laboratory specializing in safety tests of rail vehicles and public transport vehicles according to the requirements of standard EN 45545. We conduct comprehensive evaluations of the properties of materials and their suitability for use in transport technology including assessments and statements of conformity.
